How does coaching work on Future?
Your Future coach is a real person who is on-call to support you. They'll message you often, build a new training plan for you each week, and respond in real-time as you need changes or have questions. Once you join Future you'll schedule a Kickoff Call with your coach, which is conducted virtually over video. On the call, you can get to know your coach and discuss your preferences and goals. You'll also receive video messages from your coach regularly and you can schedule Check-In Calls from time to time.
What if I don't have a gym membership or a home gym?
No problem! Your coach will create your custom workout plan with your unique situation in mind. Your workouts will be designed around your location and the equipment you have available - whether you are at home with no equipment, working out in a fully-stocked gym, or modifying your routine on vacation! Your coach can include outdoor runs and group fitness classes as well. Their goal is to create a convenient and realistic training plan that you can stick to.
How will my coach track my progress?
If you have a smartwatch, simply sync it with your Future app. Your coach will use the data from the smartwatch to get detailed insight into your workouts and daily activity level.
Can I change my coach?
We are here to help you to change your coach at any time. Our team is dedicated to your success, and we'll make sure we find your perfect match. We can connect you with one of our Coach Advisors to help you select a new coach, or you can view all available coaches in the Future app by going to Profile > Account > Change Coach > View Coaches.
Can I talk to a Coach Advisor about my preferences and goals?
Yes! We are happy to hear more about your preferences and goals so that we can make sure you are matched with the perfect coach. You can reach our team to arrange a call at help@future.co.
What is Future's cancellation policy?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your experience. You can try Future risk-free for the first month, and we'll give you a full refund if you decide to cancel. After the first month, you can cancel at any time, and we won't charge you again. If you are ever unsatisfied with our service, you can email help@future.co. We'll be more than happy to make it right.
What kind of time commitment do I have to make?
Future is designed to fit into your schedule — not the other way around. Your coach will design and schedule your workouts based on what's realistic for you and can make changes during the week to accommodate your busy life.
How does Future work when I'm traveling?
Your coach will design your workouts to incorporate the equipment that is available to you during your travels: a hotel gym, resistance bands that you bring in your suitcase, or nothing at all!
How can I listen to my own music during my Future workouts?

If you are interested in listening to your own playlist or podcast during your workouts, simply select your preferred audio in your app of choice before beginning your Future workout. You will continue to hear your selected audio play throughout your session and bypass the music option within the Future app.

What if I have an injury or special needs?

If your medical professional has cleared you for exercise, then working with a personal coach can be highly beneficial for preventing or managing many common chronic conditions and injuries. Your Future coach will design safe, effective workouts that meet your specific needs. Is Future available for Android?
Yes! Future is available for Android. Download the app on the Google Play Store to get started.
Is Future available outside the United States?
Future is currently only available to residents of the United States. We're working hard to expand to other countries — stay tuned!

Membership
How do I cancel my Future membership?
We'd love the opportunity to make things right and improve your experience. If you are having issues or would like to share feedback with someone from our team, please contact us at  help@future.co. You can cancel your subscription through the app by going to Profile > Account > Update Membership > Cancel Subscription.
How does pausing my membership work?
You can pause your membership through the Future app by going to Profile > Account > Update Membership > Pause Membership. However, this feature is only available on iOS currently, not Android. If you are using an Android device, please email us at help@future.co to pause your membership.
Can I pause my membership for less than one month?
We do not offer the option to pause for less than one month. If you're expecting a short term change in your routine or heading on vacation, just let your coach know! They can adapt your workouts to fit your changing schedule so that you can continue working toward your goals.
How do I update my shipping address?
If you need to update your shipping address, you can do so within the app by heading to Profile > Account > Shipping Address. If you need to make changes to your Welcome Kit after placing your order, please contact us at help@future.co.
How do I edit my profile or update my phone number?
You can update your profile information in the Future app at any time. Just head to Profile > Account > Edit Profile.
Where can I add my favorite activities?
Your coach is always happy to update your program based on your interests! You can communicate directly with your coach in the messaging feature within the Future app. You can also add any activities in the app by going to Profile > Account > Edit Profile > Add Favorite Activities.
What is the cost of my Future Membership?
Future offers a variety of membership plans. The longer the duration, the larger the savings. Note: All memberships start out as month-to-month by default, but can be changed in the app after sign-up.
  • Monthly Membership: $199/month, billed each month
  • 3-Month Membership: $179/month (10% savings), billed as $537
  • 6-Month Membership: $169/month (15% savings), billed as $1,014
  • Annual Membership: $149/month (25% savings), billed as $1,788

Do I need a smartwatch to use Future?
It's not required but is highly encouraged, as it will help you get the most out of your membership and reach your goals faster. The watch unlocks a variety of features that enhance your workout experience, as well as provides your coach with insight into your progress and empowers them to deliver seamless, next-level accountability.

Which smartwatches are compatible with Future?
If you use Future on an iPhone device, all Apple Watch devices are compatible as long as they are Series 3 or newer. However, we do recommend an SE model or better as these more recent models support advanced health and fitness features.

If you use Future on an Android device, any watch that operates on WearOS 3.0 or above will work. That includes the Google Pixel Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, and Montblanc Summit 3.

I already own a smartwatch. Will it work with Future?
Absolutely. Just look at the question above to double-check that your model is compatible.
Where can I get a smartwatch if I don't have one already?
For Apple Watches, we recommend purchasing directly from Apple. And for other smartwatches, we recommend purchasing from any major retailer.
